Hi everyone! My name is Julian Dismute I am
A central Iowa FCA REP and I serve all the Urban Des Moines schools which include: Des Moines East High School, Des Moines Lincoln High School, Des Moines Roosevelt High School, Des Moines North High School, and Des Moines Hoover High School.
I am grateful to be apart of what God is doing here in Central Iowa! I look forward to sharing all that God is doing with you!

My name is Julian Dismute! I grew up in fort Dodge Iowa! As a youth, I experienced a lot of adversity, a few in which resulted in losing both of my parents to illnesses before the age of 10. My faith and sports played a huge part in my upbringing and carried me through a lot of my struggles.
Basketball was my first love and I thought for sure I was heading to the NBA. In high school I played for a AAU team, Iowa Barnstormers, that really helped me get the opportunity to play in front of some college coaches and against some great athletes. Not getting the results I wanted, I had to go to small JUCO school (Iowa Central Community College) before getting let go of the team just 2 weeks before the first game!
After I had a short lived college sports career and losing my identity, I fell away from God and started to build a life of my own that result in me started a family. I met my beautiful wife Amber and we had our son, Kyrie a few years later. We then moved to Des Moines in 2015 to pursue more opportunities for a better life. After one year of moving to Des Moines, God got a hold of my heart again and called me to use my gifts to glory Him. I got heavily involved in my church and started started to grow in my faith. After some years I started to preach and disciple other young men. The rest was history!
In conclusion, I realized that God was preparing me to serve coaches and athletes that were in need of Gods mercy and grace by joining the FCA ministry in Urban Des Moines! The lord is faithful!
